Candidates should, on the date of advertisement. be working in the following or a higher pay scale of :
Director level or the equivalent of a Schedule ‘A’ CPSE or CMD of Schedule ‘B’CPSE.
b) For Officers of Central Govt./Armed Forces of the Union/All India Services Candidates should, on the date of advertisement, be 1n the following or a higher pay scale/rank :
• Officers of Central Govt./All India Services holding a post of the level of Joint Secretary.
Officers of Armed Forces holding the rank of Major General in the Army or equivalent rank in Navy/Air Force.
c) For Private Sector
He/She should possess at least 25 years of post. Qualification experience many organization of repute out of which at least 3 years should be at a CXO level.
Job Description and Responsibilities: The Chairman & Managing Director is the Chief Executive of the Corporation and accountable to the Board of Directors and Government. He is responsible for the efficient functioning of the Corporation for achieving its corporate objectives and performance parameters.
Duration of Appointment: The appointment shall be for a period not exceeding five years. In case successful candidate attains superannuation i.e. 60 years before completion of 5 years, his/her tenure can be extended for a further period, as may be decided by the Government, on a contract basis.
Selection Process: Search-cum-Selection Committee may also make the nomination of eligible and qual1f1ed candidates for the post. The Committee may also recommend relaxation in the eligibility and qualifications/experience criteria enumerated) above in respect of Outstanding Candidates.
